1. A Cantonese specialty, it's a group of dishes consisting of small, bite-sized foods such as steamed pork or shrimp dumplings, steamed or baked BBQ pork buns, pan fried turnip cakes, etc.. It's usually served at lunch time and on the weekends. The steamed foods are usually served in the small round bamboo or stainless steel containers in which they are cooked.
